About the Role
Infosys is hiring Mainframe Developers for their Application Development and Maintenance service line in Bangalore. This is a full time role open to candidates with 0 to 4 years of experience who hold a BE, BTech, BCA, BSc, MCA, MSc, or MTech degree. This role offers an expected salary package of Rs 4.5 LPA to Rs 8 LPA depending on experience and gives you hands on experience working on mainframe application development and maintenance projects for Infosys’s global enterprise clients across banking, financial services, and other mainframe dependent industries.
What You Will Work On
- Designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe based applications and software solutions
- Writing and optimizing COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe programming code for enterprise applications
- Working on mainframe batch processing, online transaction processing, and data management systems
- Supporting application development and maintenance activities for Infosys’s global banking and enterprise clients
- Collaborating with senior mainframe developers and project teams on application delivery and enhancement
- Performing code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization of mainframe applications
- Supporting migration and modernization of legacy mainframe applications to newer platforms
- Preparing detailed technical documentation for mainframe application components and processes
- Participating in agile development workflows and contributing to engineering best practices
- Staying updated with the latest developments in mainframe technology and application modernization
Who Can Apply – Eligibility Criteria
- Completed BE, BTech, BCA, BSc, MCA, MSc, or MTech from a recognized university
- Freshers and candidates with up to 4 years of experience are eligible to apply
- Basic understanding of mainframe programming concepts is an advantage for freshers
- Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, or similar mainframe technologies is preferred
- Good programming and problem solving skills
